For over 30 years, Resources For Learning have said many things on behalf of many clients, in print, on video, dvd, cd-rom and on the web.
This year, instead of a Christmas card, we have created a festive online game - Is It Christmas Yeti?
Not only is it much more fun to play with than a Christmas card, it also helped to save a small tree, the postman's poor back and us licking hundreds of envelopes!
The award winning www.letzgogreen.org website was developed three years ago by Resources For Learning on behalf of Centro.
We recently worked with Centro to launch their second annual comic strip competition through the website. The competition encourages Key Stage 2 students across the West Midlands to use their creative and literacy skills. Pupils were asked to come up with a story that showed fellow pupils the benefits of using green and healthy travel.
The winning entry was submitted by schoolboy James Bell who not only won his class a trip to Cadbury World but also had his story made into an interactive letzgogreen animated story board for inclusion on the website.
The newly redesigned Letzgogreen website is now online.
The improvements to the home page include clearer zones for Key stage 1, 2 and 3 for both teachers and pupils, more interactive graphics, improved teachers' area and featured comics and stories.
We have recently completed work on the new Water Reporters resource for Severn Trent Water.
Working on both the editorial and design, we have created a printed student work booklet and accompanying teachers' notes produced to promote efficient water use and to increase awareness of related environmental issues.
Take a look at some sample pages of the student booklet.
We have produced new online learning activities for Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, based on A1 primary classroom posters originally designed by RFL.
The two interactives focus on the water cycle and saving water in the home. Our brief was to produce simple yet effective online versions of the two posters, which perform well on both individual computers and interactive whiteboards.
The online activities are easy to use, with informative and clear text, and can be played on Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water's educational website.
The newly redesigned Succeeding With Science website is now online.
The site features lots of science education resources for teachers and students aged 4 to 19, accessible through a new animated menu or a comprehensive search facility.
You can keep up with all the latest developments through the Succeeding With Science Twitter page.
